Established in 1988, ILSUNG FIBER® has specialized in the development and production of phenolic cotton pipes and insulation materials, including pipes and molded products of their oilless bearing series.

Following the expansion and relocation of their office building, the company integrated vacuum molding machines (Auto Clave) and water jet technology, enhancing their processing capabilities.

Consequently, ILSUNG FIBER® was able to introduce and improve bearings for ships (such as Rudder-Pintle, Stock, Neck, Thrust Bearings, and Stern Tube Bearings, all of which have obtained Type Approval), bearings for heavy machinery, and high-voltage insulation materials (pipes and molded products).

Non-metallic Bearing for ships

The non-metallic bearings from ILSUNG FIBER® are crafted by blending phenolic resin and a friction modifier with synthetic cotton, then molding the mixture using vacuum pressing. Due to their self-lubricating properties, these bearings perform exceptionally well without lubrication. However, they can also operate under high loads and speeds if lubrication is applied. The bearings offer a long lifespan due to their low friction coefficient and excellent abrasion resistance.

Compared to metallic bearings, ILSUNG FIBER®'s non-metallic bearings are more cost-saving and have lighter weight. These advantages help reduce maintenance costs and time while preventing pollution due to their non-corrosive nature.
